Bay tree leaves have turned brown and brittle

    Hello

I have two bay trees in the same spot on a balcony. I water both similarly at the same time, same amount (the water contains indoor plant feed if that has any bearing). During the last three months it has been about once every three weeks and I use a fair amount. Up until the last watering there was no undertray and a lot of the water would flow out the bottom. I’ve since got two undertrays for both. I have just noticed the leaves on one have turned brown and brittle. Going by previous threads the soil may have become too compacted. Any other suggestions?

    Pics attached

    Thanks in advance

Over watering of Bay can cause leaves to go brown.

Ok, thanks for the reply. So perhaps don’t water it for a while?

My bays are the same, but they are outside so get plenty of water!
