Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Let's not split the votes between Dublin and Belfast, let's vote Dublin all the way.

If there were to play Dublin would it be the 3 arena or the olympia.

I think they would sell out the Olympia but a 3 arena show would sell well

Would have to be 3Arena with the rig they use , Could see a similar size as Kiss from a few years

I voted Dublin ... but to be honest I'm not sure I'd even bother going to see them if they did play. Haven't listened to anything by them since Theatre Of Pain

    Haha wtf!?
    Bad boys alright

It was basically Nikki's way of saying that they were all doing too much cocaine to tour, it was told (I believe) to Mick Wall who wrote it in Kerrang as he couldn't directly accuse them of using drugs

^^^ that sounds about right. lol

Voted for Dublin again for whatever good that might do....saw some recent clips Vince is how do I put it....actually borderline acceptable not his shockingly bad usual really looking forward to seeing at Download now.

I voted for Newcastle, for obvious reasons, though I hope Dublin works out too. I think someone told me that the last time they were supposed to play Newcastle was when Nikki Sixx called Kerrang and said there was "too much snow on the roof of the arenas" and gave this as a reason for the cancellation

''Too much snow up our noses, more like!''

Watched clips from their shows on 'the tour' with kiss.

    He was awful.

    That was 2012 though no?

I meant recent as in 2015 ones in Oz etc, vocals are rough enough but good compared what he is capable of (stunningly bad :D).

There'll always be cynicism in these types of things but it feels like more than most bands will do.

i voted even though i think there is no chance it would pay them to come,

Such a shame that a band like the Crue are living on their past and have little interest in releasing an album under their name.

I doubt they'd produce anything that wouldn't simply be called nostalgic. Plus their musical exploits can go into Sixx AM and other projects like that and it makes more financial sense to tour on nostalgia then to release new material, that might actually hinder their efforts....so yeah, there is reason enough not to do it.

Nope and never will now; They've decided to go to Abu Dhabi and Monaco where they've never gigged before though, I see the arena in Abu Dhabi is called the Du Arena....someone was havin a laugh :D:D:D.

I'm actually in London that weekend of their show there but I'll check how they are at DL first tickets are pricey enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,012 ✭✭✭furiousox

I'm a fan of Motley Crue. Wish they'd come to Ireland some day, but it looks like they're disbanding at the end of the year so it will never be. Even then, they've never played Ireland before. Such a shame.

possibly heading to the manchester show in november. Have a cheap hotel booked for the night, flights are cheap

whats the manchester arena like ???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,012 ✭✭✭furiousox

    Biggest indoor arena in Europe.
Saw Roger Waters there and the Crue the last time (2012 I think?)
    It's er.....big!
There's a Travelodge hotel nearby but the arena is centrally located anyway.
If you're seated you'd need to have a look at the seating plan because you could end up a long way from the stage.
The standing area is very big so it depends how close you can get yourself to the stage.
It's an impressive arena though, good modern venue.
I might end up going to the London gig because it's on a Friday but I'd prefer to be going to Manchester.

Have been a casual fan of Motley Crue for years (Late eighties).

Finally got to see them at Download Festival last Sunday. It wasn't the nicest of days .. it was kinda cold and wet ... but the show was awesome. They played their best songs (including their own slightly altered version of 'Anarchy in the UK'). Sound was brilliant and they brought dancing girls (a welcome sight for my weary eyes) and lots of pyrotechnics and flame throwers etc. Overall very Impressive.

They made a bit of a screw-up with the encore .. they went off stage for what felt like 10 minutes before coming back on with "Home Sweet Home". The crowd had started to disperse.

KISS were the headliners ..I'd say they were backstage putting on all their auld paint .. and ****ting themselves !! :-(

Giving serious consideration to seeing them again at one of their other UK shows... special guest Alice Cooper makes it even sweeter.

If you go to ticketmaster and try to buy a pre-sale ticket using SICKTHINGS as the ALICE COOPER (NOT MOTLEY CRUE) fan club password, it works.

yeah got my 2 for the manchester show using the app, none of this word crap and verifying stuff with the app. Hopefully they dont cancel or something.

Fairly surprised they sold out so quickly, people like myself who want to see them before they finish.

I don't think it was the recaptcha that caused the problems, I thin it was the three different presales that depleted alot of the tickets. Coupled with the poor amount of shows.

Will be sick if they announce more dates now.

It's to do with the venue, Wembley has a partnership with AXS the others don't but should they use a fairer waiting room system also when choosing seats you have an idea where in the venue from stage they are.

Jaysus, finding this all out now.

I saw that before the general tickets sent on sale, you could buy fan club presale from Ticketmaster, with a £36 fan club membership fee.

Had it sown up every bleed'n way they did.

Are all the band members sober now except Tommy lee ??.

I'd say they will all revisit old days when they finish there last ever show on New Years eve lol
