Hi, yea i was told €250 for my tattoo with picosure in dundrum. Currently getting it done in Aurelia with regular laser, such a slow process

don't think the pico is worth is the money or pain,

my arm was healed 2 days after getting the q switched, no blisters or marks , strange it spread out 6 weeks between sessions

Mine has actually never blistered. Just mild peeling. I think the 6 week wait is because it takes a few weeks after the session for the colour to break down and fade so having them too close together would probably mean unnecessary sessions.

I've had a Pico session in London and many q-switch here in Dublin, there is no contest - the Pico shows a lot more fading.

I'd say it's 3 or 4 times better fading, but unfortunately it's 8 times the price.

If you have the money and it faded sooner though, Pico no question.

I was in Dundrum Laser Clinic today.

They don't have a Picosure.

They are getting one around November, and will be trialing it then and only after that will it be readily available.

Hi guys, I too am looking at tattoo removal. Never thought Id be the type to consider laser (because of the pain) but I covered up a tattoo and I dislike this one just as much if not more. It looks too big on my tiny wrist. I rang Dundrum clinic today an have left an email to get as much info as possible. I live down in Cork so I can't just pop in.

Anyways, could anyone here tell me about their experience with pain?? Be it the picosure or regular laser. Though I think for me it will be picosure or leaving the tattoo here it is. I'm not willing to have 12+ zappy, snappy, blistering treatments ;( so so apprehensive. Any advice Id appreciate

I've had about 10 treatments at this stage and I've never blistered. That said, it's sore. No denying it, it's very very painful getting it done.

On the plus side though it doesn't last long at all, you just have to bear it for a minute or two max and you're done.

Bit sun-burny feeling then so Bio-oil or aloe vera for a few days and your grand. Repeat every 6 - 8 weeks.

Yeah I guess it would only take about 2 mins cause it's not a massive arm tattoo or anything. It's dark and there is a tonne of ink (being a cover up and all). So very nervous about the paim side. But like that I won't be starting til the middle of 2016 and I will be travelling up from Cork to the Dundrum clinic to use the pico second laser. Price and travelling doesn't bother me, it's how il tolerate the pain, whether il be able to keep still and not pass out lol.

I laser hair removal done in 2012, it sound it quite painful, one particular area hurt so bad that my protective glasses fogged up cause I started to sweat!! >_<

Ask them to give to Elma cream before hand, it's a numbing cream you rub on the skin and leave it on for about 20 minutes before hand. It does help.

Useless for getting a tattoo because it doesn't last long but handy for laser.

Thanks for the advice! Where did you say your are getting yours lasered? Are they colourful?? Mine is a blue rose on my wrist. It. Covered a purple blue butterfly, so lot of blue purple ink to remove.

Mine are big black tribals, one nearly gone after x1 picosure in London and about x4 q-switch in Dundrum (I live nearby). I was lucky with that one, it was old and pretty faded already, and not that deep.

The other is on my arm, I've had about 4 q-switch so far, and it'll be a long while yet. I'll get a pico session in on that soon as I can as well. Pico is certainly better but as said, it's not a magic bullet either. All depends on so many factors.

Well best of luck with the rest of the removal. Hopefully it won't take much longer. I'd like to hear how the pico goes on the newer tattoo for you. For now il just live away with my mistake hahaha.

Well my plan has taken a turn. The specialist in Dundrum contacted me today and spoke about tattoo removal for 45 minutes. Told me things straight, told me that it takes time and that even the picosure isn't the best thing ever. He said with me he'd start with a ruby laser and another one which I can't remember the name. He said he'd then finish the process with the picosure to blast the final traces of ink away. He told me it won't be 2-4 treatments, it will be many, an il probably hate him by the end.

What's more, I start next month. He said he'd prefer to get started while the tattoo is relatively new and still settling into the skin. I was hoping to wait til next summer. Feeling nervous. I can't have any local anesthetic for the first treatment cause if something is wrong because wrist would be dead there will be no way of knowing. He said il have to suck it up. Scaaaaared

Did anyone tried to remove permanent make up tattoo with laser (its made with black permanent make up color)? I have sent an email to Dundrum laser clinic and they told me I have to pay 50 euros just for consultation, that really distracted me but if they are the best or have high quality laser as they say, I will go there.. I don't know where else to go to see someone who has experience with skin and good equipment.,. Any advice? thanks!

just got my second session done there, they have the picosure tattoo laser now
got that done on a tattoo on my arm then qswitched on my back as the picosure was too painful,

there really good in there, 50 euros for consulation but most of the time you can get something done in there sameday as i did,

i was really impressed with the picosure as it blasted the loose ink particiles away, and its better at breaking up a tattoo,

good thing bout dundrum is they got an AIR COOLER which soothes the area your getting lasered to reduce pain,so yes it well worth the visit in

Yup Dundrum Laser have Picosure Tattoo Removal now. They've had the machine about a month now.

About Picosure.. I was reading recently some studies and experiences about it and its definitely the most effective tattoo laser BUT its also most likely to leave scars due to its intensity. Especially for people with little darker skin. My skin is white, but I have darker pigment and get tan very easy at the sun, so I am afraid of scars in general with every tattoo laser especially Picosure.

I've been getting my tattoo removed in Aurelia Kilkenny the past year(I've had 7 sessions) I feel like I'm not going to get much more improvement in Aurelia, so I've made an appointment for a consult and session for Dundrum for Picosure. My tattoo has tiny amounts of green in it, so hopefully I won't need many sessions.

My sessions in Aurelia cost €70 and I was told it should cost somewhere between €130-€150 in Dundrum so not a huge difference, worth it if it helps.

Going for a consult on Wednesday evening in Dundrum Laser. Have a medium tribal on shoulder and slightly onto back and chest that I want removed. All black ink. Will post an update here is any new information since last posts.

I've had 3 sessions now with Dundrum, 1 with their old machine and 2 with picosure. Didn't find the pain of the picosure any worse than my first session. All as horrendous as eachother! After 3 sessions there is a definite difference with certain parts fading quicker than others. Would highly recommend Dundrum.

I just got my tattoo on my forearm.
I got it meanwhile I was on vacation and after I cameback to my country I realised what a mistake I've done since then I hate it , I cant sleep and I cant concentrate on anything besides thinking DOES LASER REMOVAL does actually work ?

In my research I see a lot of people getting lasered in youtube videos , bunch of ''fake doctor'' websites with results ? I've never seen a tattoo which was lasered and healed.
Please enlight me give me some faith. Im already looking for a tattoo removal procedure even though it was just done + you've to wait 6 months before laser ? Will it leave any sign of a tattoo after the treatment ? I researched a lot I spent a lot of time in blogs/websites etc. Recently was browsing people results in RealSelf and I cant seem to find a tattoo which was healed is it because its a new process ? Or is it because it doesnt work

It really depends on the tattoo, the age of it, etc...

The older the ink, the easier it is to break up. The colour of the ink has a big impact on this too, with lasers struggling to break down some colours of ink. If it's an older tattoo, and faded a bit, it'll probably be mostly removed, but it can leave some scarring. Your arm won't look like it did before, there's nothing currently that'll do that for you.

Wait till you've had it 6 months to a year (I know that'll be hard) and then get some lazer treatment. You want to hide it completely, the best bet is to get some lazer treatment to fade it, and then get a cover-up tattoo done. You could spend the time between now and then deciding what to get to cover it up, to ensure you won't dislike this one.

Hi guys posted a thread but no answers sorry just so seeing I have had my fourth laser session and the tattoo isn't fading one bit it's only a small black tattoo any idea why it isn't being removed
