Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Shouldn't this board be called Ultimate Frisbee, or Disc sports?

Just calling it frisbee is a bit silly, imo...

tbh I've always felt the worst part about Ultimate is its name, such a pathetically silly name imo

I'd much prefer if this board was called "Ultimate frisbee" or even "Disc Sports" would probably be a much better title.

Its a very quiet board but a better title might help.

Would this board be better categorised under 'Rec' rather than 'Sports'?

Have you ever played Ultimate, or watched it?

Ultimate (Despite the terrible name) is a team sport. I would recommend spending four minutes of your time watching this highlight reel from the most recent European Ultimate Championship Finals.

It should stay under sport, really.

Well, at any rate, if we go to Rec, so should:
    sailing and boating
    canoeing and kayaking
    scuba diving
    Yoga and pilates

If you didnt know how Ultimate is played, that video would not only leave you just as in the dark, but it looks like a bunch of confused, un coordinated people chasing a disc.

Ofcourse, to someone who understands whats going on, there are a lot of sweet layouts, and some awsome D.

    Explained simlpy:
