Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Every man and his dog could see that starting with Guendouzi and ElNeny in the middle, and Ozil and Miki as well we were always going to be too narrow. Naive way to set up. It leaves the wings totally open and Bernard in particular is having a field day. On the very rare occasion that Kolasinic is getting forward he has nothing to pass to because it's only Lacazette to aim at.

Sokratis booked now. That's more game time for the clown Mustafi. WTF do we have to do to get this sack out of the team?

AMN needs to work on that delivery. Good cut back initially but an aimless swipe at the ball ends up putting us in trouble.

we need one of those emery half time subs, ramsey on for elneny

Utterly gutless in the first half. Beglin just described them as snowflakey.

That's as poor a 45 minutes football I've seen from an Arsenal side in quiet some time.

Absolute nothingness. The players are not interested. And when they do get on the ball they are more interested in their passing stats than actually trying to score.

Away form is a real concern considering we’ve only 2 home games left in top 4 race.

Ramsey and Auba will need to come on. Take a draw right now.

    Emery was listening.

Ramsey was a cert to come on, but it must have been a coin toss between who to take off. Elneny arguably was better the first half than the declining Guendhouzi.

I wonder was the plan to hold them until half time and then bring Laca and Ramsey late in the 2nd half to beat them

    Superb save from Leno

AMN doing his best there to get Bernard a goal.

I hope not, because that is a pathetic plan.

We deserve nothing from this game. We’ve been plain awful. A point here would be fantastic at this stage.

Maitland Niles out of his depth today.

It'd make you wonder if Emery is watching the game at all when he took off Kolasnlinic and left on AMN. He's having a woeful game. By far our worst player in the second half, and that's after a very bad first half

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,912 ✭✭✭omega man

    Massimo Allegri
Not sure if I rate Niles. I know he’s young so I’ll give him time but the jury is out.

I actually think this is bordering match fixing suspicions from Arsenal.

Were making fûcking Everton look like Barcelona.

How are we so bad away. It’s like watching two different teams. It’s not as if the Emirates is a fortress atmosphere wise.

We should be 4 or 5 down.

    This is pathetic.

I actually think this is bordering match fixing suspicions from Arsenal.

I was actually thinkin that earlier. A few weird passes to nobody and a throw that just went out for a goal kick. It’s weird.

In general though Arsenal just look so lazy on the ball. No interest at all. Even on the ball are going at snails pace.

You’d swear they weren’t part of the race for the top 4 at all.

would have said the same about taking ozil off instead of miki

Any time Arsenal are around the Everton box there are 2-3 Everton players right on top of them.

When Everton are around Arsenal's box there is maybe 1 arsenal player and they are standing 5 yards off them.

God we are shocking to watch. I really don't see any hope of us closing the gap on City and Liverpool in the next 5 years

    Time wasting subs now ffs

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,727 ✭✭✭darego

that was a hard game to watch as an arsenal fan. more question marks

I actually thought the opposite. I thought it was strange that they made their last sub in the 89th minute. Surely waiting thirty seconds more till after the added time was put up would be more wasteful and more beneficial to Everyone. Maybe they know they could be playing till this time tomorrow and arsenal still wouldn't score

Depressing result and performance. Europa only hope as this team don’t have the bottle for a top 4 fight.

When we're playing the Europa next season and watching them up the road in the champions league we can look back at this result as a perfect example why. Gutless. No inventiveness. Weak at the back. No leadership. Bizarre substitutions. Set up wrong from the start. This game had it all.

When Mustafi did a Mustafi and got booked, my immediate thought was "send that **** off".

About one of my own players.

    That's how annoyed I was.

Me too! I was hoping he'd get a straight red card and never play for the club again.

Agreed, he was poor but thought he tried. I've heard people use poison to describe poor attitude so was just clarifying which you meant. Lots of players out there today who looked like they'd rather be doing anything else but playing a game.

    Nuno Espirito Santo
That was shocking. Expected a tough game but didn't see that embarrassment coming. Just too many players in that team that simply aren't good enough. Some have potential one day but too many are lost causes.

That means nothing after such a shockingly awful performance from every single player bar Leno. If we’d battered them without scoring I’d be more positive. Harder games to come.
