Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I need some tiling adhesive, starting the bathroom. What's the cheapest place to buy adhesive?

Builder providers usually, I've found tiling supply stores to have a ridiculous mark-up on the likes of adhesives and grout, so much so I lodged a complaint with Ardex when trying to source their epoxy grout here. Tried a number of different suppliers for their EG8+ (now known as RG12) grout which is in a 4kg tub and prices ranged from eye watering levels of €148 to €189 per tub. Got the same thing in the UK for under £40 per tub although it was a bit of a nightmare to import and that was well before Brexit.

Anyway I digress, I've used this Larsen adhesive previously and found it good

Have also used their fast set but it's difficult to work with so would recommend the standard set and take your time.

You'll have to just ring around. I used to work for my Dad's tile shop we had the cheapest adhesive at the time, even compared to building providers. (The adhesive I know for sure, I don't remember how we compared on grout, I think it was also cheaper). All of that is academic anyways because it was years ago and I'm not going to shill, but the point is, I'm sure it's worth spending 10 minutes making phone calls.

If you have a tiler lined up, ask them for a recommendation, they will know the cheaper spots to get things and they might have a brand they prefer.
