Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fret Buzz Issue

I bought a brand new ESP LTD electric guitar online the other day but it didn't come well set up as there is alot of fret buzz on the E A D G and a slight bit on the B strings. Almost all the way down the entire fretboard from fret 1 to frets 21/22. When it's plugged it it sounds terrible and twangy. Its a Hardtail / Tune o Matic bridge. The neck seems to be dead straight, and I have tried pressing the 1st and 18th frets down and using my pinky to tap the middle fret and it's makes a ting so it's not laying flat on the frets. I did try raising the tune o matic bridge but I felt the thumb wheel may come out it was so high. What do I do next? I'm not knowledgeable on setting up guitar I'd usually get a shop to set it up as I haven't a clue but because of level 5 lockdown here, nobody's open so I need to learn to do it myself. Please advise. Also yes the strings are sitting on the saddle and the nut correctly. I'm frustrated by this now. Please help. I've tried watching numerous YouTube videos and read articles and none of it has helped fix it. It's an ESP so it's not a cheap 300 quid guitar.

Dead straight necks are rarely a good thing. You want some bow, though not a huge amount. Can you measure the gaps between the first and twelfth frets, and the bottom of the low E string? Drop the shop you bought it from an email too, and ask how they set it up before they shipped it out.
