Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Yes, most definitely.
I did that cruiser holiday in august 2020 (but we went north to the lakes in Fermanagh) and it is a great holiday if you have a nice boat. There are some crocks out there!

Have you ever bought anything from a door to door sales person?

No, I usually hide from them.

    Are you a curtain twitcher?

Ever seen a Shakespeare play in the theatre?

    Yes, unfortunately.
Hamlet, in the Gaiety. Ridiculous overacted melodrama.

Are you aware of what is happening with GME stocks?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

Yes, been following it for a day or so now since mainstream media cottoned on to it. But it's interesting to see how 'traditional' investors will react to all this.

    When did you last dance?

Is there a negative rating? Would make one of those Andy Warhol 'movies' where he points a camera at a building for ten hours seem riveting.

Do you have a go-to online news source?

  • Registered Users Posts: 849 ✭✭✭IrishLad90

    Whats your weekend movie treat?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

No I don’t mind the rain. All for a purpose.

Did you underestimate how long we would be effected by COVID-19?

  • Registered Users Posts: 270 ✭✭beerguts

Yes I did. I bought into the original 'this is only for a couple of weeks'. I am now slightly pessimistic about how long more restrictions will go on.

Do you keep in contact with former work colleagues /friends or is it a case once you have left you lose all contact with them

Lost all contact. Was in another country.

GME - Righteous revenge on wall street, or dangerous fad? Both?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

GME is yesterday's news. Silver is where the action is at today. But - fad. It will be fun while it lasts but ultimately fad.

Did you struggle out of bed this morning? (Or are you still there?)

No I am an index finger only man

    What's your favourite sandwich

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

What will you have for lunch today?

Funnily enough I had a ham cheese toasted sandwich with coleslaw on the side.

Hate is such a strong word. No personally I don’t.

Where should the go to cycle?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭Snails pace

They should buy mountain bikes and go on forest trails.

Will you do a spring clean since it technically is Spring now ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,104 ✭✭✭Trigger Happy

No but we will look at sprucing up some of the doors and skirting with paint. We need a project to distract us from lockdown tedium.

When did you last do an actual job interview?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,468 ✭✭✭CruelCoin

13 years ago. Been in the family business since.

In this world where job applications massively outweigh jobs, is it fair to bin cv's for having silly mistakes like typos?

People who can leave typos are just a couple of questionable life decisions away from being a serial killer..

Whats your go to takeaway and beer during this stage of lockdown??

  • Registered Users Posts: 270 ✭✭beerguts

Snack Box with a tub of curry

How is your diet during this lock down

Up and down to be honest. Trying to be good, cutting back on takeaways, cutting back on biscuits and sweets. But then you have days where you just need something naughty!

What would your death row meal consist of?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭Snails pace

Fillet steak, mushrooms, onions, mashed potato, 2 fried eggs wash down with a few pints of Guinness.

    What's your pet hate ?

    Cork.

Which country would you most like to go to when travelling becomes safe again?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,153 ✭✭✭jimbobaloobob

    Ireland.

Have you an idea in you’re head when you think it will be ok to travel?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,497 ✭✭✭auspicious

It may cost extra with a fine but sure tomorrow's ideal.

Have threads on after hours become boring?

Some of them do seem perilously close to

    9mvxcxYk5om6.gif

but I suppose the forum's been running so long people are bound to run out of bright ideas for threads...

Do you think Ireland have much chance of winning this year's Six Nations?

Ha Fr. Ted always struck the right ( Irish) stereotypical cliches

What's the funniest thing you've seen?
