Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Greetings all. Just fostered our first dog. A retriever x bernese mountain dog. My wife is adamant we use dry food. However i prefer wet. Is a combo of both okay. Any advice is welcome. Cheers!

I feed a mix, mostly wet, some dry (both grain free), some veggies, any suitable leftovers (no salt or gravy)
    What ever suits you.
What age is the pup? You'll need a giant breed food I'd imagine

Rocco from zooplus.ie is great value and quality for wet. They do a dry too but I haven’t a clue about dry as I haven’t used it for 10+ years - I feed mainly raw with some wet mixed in some days. Why does she want to feed dry out of interest - convenience I assume? (Dry doesn’t help to keep clean contrary to popular belief!)

I feed rocco wet, dogs love it. It's smells ok too, like meat more than ordinary dog food.
And I agree, dry doesn't do anything to help keep teeth clean.

Zooplus is great for looking up foods, they've a big range on there, lots of info, and they deliver in a few days.
The larger breeds need a different food as they grow a little different to smaller dogs, nutritional needs differ a bit.
