Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Daniel Dubois had a decent workout before putting Tom Little away. He needs more of those type of fights as he's still learning. Besides his excellent jab and footwork, he looks a little one-dimensional and maybe slightly rigid.

Not sure who's coming up next, but looking forward to Taylor and Postol on Channel 5 later.

    Yarde due up now...

    Like watching him.

    A cuff/slap that KD

Yarde is growing on me. Very composed for someone so inexperienced.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Yarde has all the right moves. All the shots, and very composed..

Watching Dave Allen against Tony Yoka. I thought Yoka would be a decent pro because he has the athleticism but I'm bound to be wrong. Despite winning nearly every round so far, Yoka looks average .

I think Dubious is looking better and better. Nothing seems to faze him and his professionalism/maturity is way beyond his age.

    What channel?

    Martin fooking Murray....

Time to switch to channel 5.

They're being way too careful with how they're matching Yarde. Must be hiding something. I reckon he's a bit on the chinny side.

Really looking forward to this Taylor fight. Postol is a really good fighter in his own right but I think Taylor is special and think he's going to win in style. Postol hates fighting southpaws.

I think Yoka will have a fair day on things. Allen is a fair opponent for him early on in his career. Rounds are good and got the stoppage. That’s the best version of Allen as well. The turnip that showed up against Ortiz was a joke

Scottish judge is a bit odd, although be shocked if it went to scorecards

Good first round from Postol. I expect this to be close.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Yep. Postol to build a lead and then try to keep away. But JT very good so far in second

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Taylor wide open to the body...Postol be best to target it..

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Christ Alive!! I didn’t see it just keeping up to date on here was watching Taylor undercard. That’s appalling. I assumed he’d kept his condition from last fight. Guy has no will power

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Postol finding it hard to stick thepace

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Very clean technical fight...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Moving to the jab is that sensible for Taylor?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Taylor looking a bit lost..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,395 ✭✭✭megadodge

    Excellent 4th by Postol.

This is turning into the fight I expected.

Ring generalship seems to be with Postol.

    Even round?

Taylor needs to step up here.

    Ref doing Taylor no harm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Very enjoyable fight...

Not seeing anything elite/special with Taylor. He’s good...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Next round is a big one. Taylor has the ko in him Postol looking a bit leggy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,395 ✭✭✭megadodge

Taylor was hurt in the 7th. The reason Postol was using his shoulders was to stop Taylor holding as he knew he was hurt.

    Big round for Postol.

4-3 Postal. How are you's all scoring it so far?

    Same

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Ref pulled Taylor out of a hole. His corner are worried

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Very fit both of them....

Thought Postol was past it after the Crawford loss with a lacklustre showing last time out but he's fighting really well. Taylor with a lot to do.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Excellent round for Taylor. Postol throwing plenty but no power left and looking gassy. Nice switch from Taylor that round

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Postol with more power would have this fight ended by now..

Yep he’s just too pitter patter. Taylor very open

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Not a particularly heavy KD shot..

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Left hook getting through a lot

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

Postol does take a shot well. Taylor is going to win this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Didn’t score every rd but Taylor definitely deserves this..

Yea Taylor has got this. Mad for using the head. Good fight. 118-114

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

He’s damn lucky he’s not having to beat the likes of Danny Garcia, Crawford, Mattysse or some others for a world title...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 610 ✭✭✭Sprinter Sacre

Fight of the year anyone? I've Taylor by one but wouldn't mind if Postol got the nod. Crawford's resume looks a little better and Scotland has a right nugget on their hands. Taylor is class

For sure. Garcia or Crawford particularly would give him trouble

Gave Taylor the last four rounds to win 114-113. Brilliant, high level fight. Credit to both.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

    Joke scores

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56,708 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Huge cards, but all agreed. Several close rds...

    Could argue wide for Taylor...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,395 ✭✭✭megadodge

Have to say, beforehand I thought it might me a bit too early to take on someone of Postol's ability and experience and in the middle rounds it looked iffy, but Taylor really showed a winner's mentality. When he had to step it up - he did.

Outside of Mikey Garcia, Postol was probably the best of the rest, so it's an excellent win.

Still not 100% sure about his chin, but everything else is impressive.

Cards are not a joke...every time...

Some of you need to realize that wide cards can exist in closely fought fights...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,921 ✭✭✭squinn2912

First 4-5 close and last 4 certainly Taylor including KD. Does seem very wide
