Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can't learn English properly

    Hi.
Someone I care about is a native Spanish speaker. She has spent 12 years in the USA and now 2 in UK but still speaks very bad English and written and reading is poor as well (below intermediate level I'm told.
I hear sometimes about alternative method sin learning languages. Not the usual grammar classes, building vocabulary, practicing speaking etc. All of that has been done and has lead to very little structural improvement.
I'm asking of anyone knows of an alternative pedagogical approach to the learning of English in particular and language in general?
    Thank you.

Is your friend living in an are where Spanish is used more than English?

Watching TV and reading English books should help.

No. Speaks on the phone & music/movies are all in Spanish. But day to day, there's no Spanish. Still no improvement though.
    Thanks for your reply.
