Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It'll be great to have someone famous on here for actually having talent, rather than just being able to 1cc Super Ghouls and Ghosts (sorry Retr0!)

I must warn you though, if you don't like the combined smell of gun powder, testosterone, armpit sweat and the 90s you'll definitely hate it... :D

You're living closer to me than I expected no wonder there's no decent thrifting in Ennis!

I see you play flute as well. Go to many sessions? I'm horribly rusty but must get back into it one of these days.

I just don't have time to go to sessions anymore + I don't drink anymore either so it makes it hard to stay around a pub environment for an extended period of time.
Haven't been to the shops in ennis for a while. I used to a few years back but haven't had the time lately .

This one should bring back a few memories for sure :D

Uileann pipes are a serious undertaking no wonder times at a premium. Takes most people a year to get any way comfortable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,599 ✭✭✭BGOllie

well yes and no, most of these tunes are pretty simple compared to the full500 notes at 120bpm format that trad music dispences . They're much easier to learn in a short amount of time... that and it's pretty much the only tune I can play on it :D
I litterally spent a month and a half, learning JUST that

Amazing Ollie, one of your best! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,599 ✭✭✭BGOllie

finished another Amiga track cover recently .

This prompted composer, Barry Leitch to contact me and we started chatting and ended up doing a video chat together for my podcast. This should be all ready and released Saturday.
On a side note I've also convinced David Wise and Chris Huelsbeck to join me at some point, well, when we find a suitable time :)

The owner of c64audio.com was notified this week that Anthony Lees, the composer of that track, passed away in a car accident in 2016. :(

There's an obituary for Anthony here:

    Amazing cover though.

And now I've just seen that Ben Daglish who also composed the last ninja soundtrack has passed away on Monday. His wife posted it using his Facebook account earlier today.

Such a shame, died too young.
