Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi ,
Our child has a scouts hike soon in loughdan, usually if its an all day hike somewhere the rest of the family go off on our own hike having driven far we like to make the most if it.

From looking online loughdan is private and strictly scouts only so im trying to find out where the nearest (with parking) good place for a family hike/picnic might be?

There is limited parking back down the road towards Oldbridge, but it fills up quickly. I'd try asking the Scouts too can you use their place seeing as your child is starting from there. I'd suggest either walking up the road then and onto the Kanturks, or Scarr mountain from Oldbridge. The other thing you could do is drive back around to the new carpark opposite the entrance to Lugalla, probably about a 15 minute drive.
