Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Could it be airlocked? If you have a mixer tap in the kitchen put your thumb on it tight and turn on the hot water. Then slowly turn on the cold. That'll force water up the system and blow out any air bubble.

Have mixer but not separate taps. So if I turn on cold and put finger over outlet will water find it's way up the hot pipes and force out airlock???

I'm not sure if you have the same problem I had but this worked for me a few weeks ago. I had cleaned out my tank in the attic and afterwards the hot tap and shower in my ensuite would work for a couple of seconds before spluttering and reducing to a trickle and fully stop after a few seconds. I'm hopeless at plumbing so I went to YouTube and saw this video:

It worked a treat in about 5 seconds. I couldn't believe it. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding the problem you're having.

    Good luck!

Just because you have cold water at the kitchen tap doesn't mean there is enough pressure to push the water up to the attic to fill the tank. Possibly a water leak on the road has reduced the water pressure

If you phone Irish Water they will come out, free of charge & check your water pressure. It might actually help them identify a leak on the road
