    hi
    does any one know where to start with finding mt great uncles record
    i have minimal info his name and address
    i dont know an accurate time frame(we think pre ww1) dont know if he took part in the great war
    i dont know a regiment either, if its a wild goose chase id like to know too
    any help appreciated

    There are some Army records on Ancestry and FindMyPast... might be worth checking out

    If you can locate a marriage cert for him (or birth cert for one of his children) it might mention his rank and regiment, which could help
