Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Query Re: Open Competitions

I've recently been verbally informed of my handicap after submitting three cards at the club I've just joined. However I haven't yet received my GUI card. Do I need the GUI card to pay in open competitions - or can I play on the basis of the handicap I've been given?

    Thanks in advance!

Your GUI card won't take long to arrive. I used to order for new members and they would arrive within 3 days.

In most clubs your can punch in your number rather that swipe your card if you have lost or forgotten it

Thanks Ryan - are the cards sent to the club or your home address?

    Always to the club

The hadicap sec or club sec may then forward to your home address

Ring your handicap secretary and i'd be fairly sure that even if your card hasn't arrived at the club he can tell you your gui number which is all you need to enter an open competition.
