Caught this guy red, eh, beaked tearing some unfortunate blackbird to bits in the back garden this evening. Anyone want to hazard an ID ? The width of 4 of those slats in front of it is about 30cm, so it's pretty decently sized.

That's what I was thinking originally, female or immature peregrine, but the head didn't really match up. General consensus now is that it's a Sparrowhawk.
