Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Are there restrictions on flying a drone over another person's farm land?

    I wouldn't think there is any restriction as long as its just flying over and passed it.if its hovering and doing low flights around it for a length of time that's a different story.
    Then it could be construed as invasion of privacy.
    More detail is needed.

    You need the landowners permission to take off from wherever you propose, but no one can stop you overflying somewhere as long as you adhere to the minimum distance rules, and are not flying in a restricted zone for example a airport, town or I believe public parks are covered down south.

    As caramelchoc says though, if you are doing low flyovers over a farmhouse someone could try to say you are breaching privacy. Also if there are animals in the field and they get startled you get could a visit form the guards over that, but the actual airspace is under the sole control of the IAA so the farmer has no legal rightr to stop you overflying.

    That said if you are worried you could nip n to the landowner as a common courtesy, but you are under no legal obligation to do so
