Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

On March 28, 2011, NASA’s Swift satellite caught what appears to be an image of a star being pulled apart by a black hole. The star, which is 3.872 lightyears away (that’s a lot, incase you’re stoned) was pulled into the black hole by one of its sides being extremely close to the high gravity creation.

Here’s something that might put this in perspective for you, the light released from this blast was 1 trillion times that of the sun.

Not wishing to sound rude or anything, but that picture looks a lot like an artists impression rather than a real image to me.
