Private wifi in rented house?

Moving into a rented house. They have existing broadband and wifi. Ive got a lot of smart devices like sonos and light bulbs and chromecast and id like them separate. Whats the cheapest / easiest way to do this? Should i get my own router and plug into a lan port on the main router and use a different ip range or? Thanks
