Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Never mind that, as long as it doesn't delay the release of the new Star Wars film...

Reports in just now on Twitter he may have passed away - yet to receive confirmation though.

I detest the modern cult of celebrity, but I saw this man play Indiana Jones when I was 4 years old, and I believe that started my addiction and love of ancient history which I am still entranced by, and always will be. Hope he will be ok.

Everyone has died on twitter at this stage. All it takes is one eejit to tweet it and it spreads.

    Wouldnt believe any of it.

Everywhere is reporting it as a few cuts to head and in a moderate, stable condition. He wasnt unconscious and he was breathing fine when they go the scene.

Plane doesnt look particular bad either, so id say cuts and bruises.

Nowhere in the OP's article does it say seriously injured, yet the OP threw it in there!

I had checked a few sites before I posted Sky news said critical condition

    http://news.sky.com/story/1439619/harrison-ford-injured-after-plane-crash

    I posted a bbc link

    Well slap my @ss

Funny how Spock got so much respect, yet this guy gets laughed at.

Almost as if some people are too dumb to realise that both men are just actors.

Few here have ever met either.

I think death is out to get him like in those films 'final destination'

Not that long ago he was badly injured filming the new Star Wars films, now this.......could be the ghost of Alec Guinness..

Ah here. Spock deserves all our respect!

Also I hope Harrison Ford has a good outcome.

Critically injured seems a bit much considering the description of his injuries. I initially thought the plane was upside down but after I realised it wasn't, I didn't think it looked so bad.

The plane obviously got into trouble so he found a nice open, flat area to put it down and seems to have done a pretty good job of it. It was probably a bit of a rough landing alright but not too bad.

EDIT: Just listened to his communications with Air Traffic Control, he had an engine failure. So obviously he couldn't make it back to the runway but was able to glide down onto the golf course.

I read they had to amputate his liver and do a head transplant.

On a serious note it would be a very crappy week to loose Spock and Han Solo!!! Speedy recovery.

You have it backwards - they amputated his head and did a liver transplant -he landed in the drink.

Local militia shot it down by all accounts.

It was Lando Calrissian, but then he had a change of heart and recused him from the burning wreckage.

Judging from my knowledge of plane crashes, this definitely looks more like a controlled crash-landing than a full blown crash. I'd assume the plane lost power, was unable to get to an airport, and the golf course was determined to be the best place to take the plane down. Plane wreckage doesn't look bad at all, though it's definitely a write off. I highly doubt he's fatally injured, I'd even be surprised if he was seriously injured based on the wreckage.

Can they not just freeze him in carbonite?

Some seriously sick jokes here. The man is in a potentially fatal condition. A bit of compassion wouldn't go astray.

Nothing in the news reports suggest he is in a potentially fatal condition

The man cut his head after landing his plane somewhere he hadn't planned to land it.

Compassion would have been not releasing the last Indiana Jones movie.

Conflicting reports emerging ranging from him walking away from it to him being in the ICU.

Best to wait till morning for the facts to emerge

Some very hasty jumping to conclusions on very initially sketchy info. So has the Twitter community of psychics decided if he is dead or alive yet ?

EDIT: Just listened to his communications with Air Traffic Control, apparently someone shot up his tailplane. So obviously he couldn't make it back to the runway but was able to glide down onto the golf course.

Well he did survive an atomic blast in a fridge before, so I think he will be alright.

Such insensitive jokes in here. The plane could have exploded and killed everyone in the northern hemisphere and people are making light of it.
