Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have heard that to get campervan insurance you need existing car insurance. If you cancel your car insurance a few months after getting campervan insurance does it effect the campervan insurance and its renewal?

Around €800 per year as sole vehicle.

AFAIK if your a named driver on a spouse's car you can still qualify for the normal camper rate.

We have 2 cars, 2 bus passes, and 1 camper.
I enquired about ditching my car (it's the oldest and dearest to tax) and was told if I was a named driver on the Mrs's car I could still get the 'cheap' camper insurance.

Can the campervan insurance be renewed year after year as a sole vehicle without a car?

Is there a more "expensive" camper insurance that you can get without car insurance?

Ya, if your not a named driver on a spouse's policy, as said, you pay about double
