I'm surprised ,no one has started an Uber style website for childcare workers ..a bit more continuity than Uber maybe .. some childcare workers offering to mind in your home ,some in theirs ..
Payment by card ? , Insurance being the parents issue ,? . Only qualified vetted staff on the site ...
And back up available for holidays / sick days ect ..

That would be a legal minefield.

We got a message from our creche to pay in full for April even after Taoiseach announced childcare providers will be funded by Revenue and DCYA. Is that legal thing to ask parents to pay after the announcement?

From my position, I definitely want their business survives but I won't understand if they getting double payment during the crisis.

Not sure on legality but ours emailed to say no fees due for April.

I know we would have stopped direct debit anyway.
