Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dog training

    I have 3 dogs but 1 of them always barks at other dogs when out walking and can become quite aggressive. I have tried training him myself and have gotten advice from people who work with dogs and even tried him in doggie day care to try mix but with no luck. I dont mind paying money for a dog trainer but dont want to waste it if it wont work. Has this worked for anyone with similar issues and also does anyone have recommendations for a good dog trainer in wexford.

    Putting a dog that's reactive into doggy daycare can backfire badly, unless the dog has gone through a behaviour modification program to reduce the fear and/or frustration that's causing the problem in the first place. It'd be like throwing a person who's afraid of spiders into a room full of spiders, and expecting them to be cured!
    Certainly, a good trainer can help with a co-ordinated, targeted approach. Luckily for you, you've the best in the country covering your area, that's Emmaline Duffy-Fallon, https://www.citizencanineireland.com/.
    Now, bear in mind that everyone is dealing with Covid restrictions and coming out of lockdown differently, so do sound her out in this regard if you decide to call her.

    Thank you very much for your response. Yes what you are saying makes sense. I just followed a trainers advice by bringing him to daycare but it didnt help at all. I will contact her to see if she can help.
