Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not a great draw for Barney; Soutar played fairly well at the weekend. Keane Barry has a tricky tie with either Burnett of Nentjes. Bad draw for William O'Connor

Ya Soutar looks a class player. Hopefully we get a couple of Irish on the TV board. Great chance for Aaron beeney playing Ashton , could be beating 2 world champions In a week.

This is an important tournament for the Irish lads and the lower ranked players as it's an opportunity to earn some decent TV money.

They need to reach R3 before they get any money though.

Willie is defending a few quid this year too, think he made a euro your final and won a players championship in 2019?

    20/1 G Anderson
28/1 M Smith, de Sousa, Dimitri.
33/1 Aspinall, Chisnall, Diving Board, Wade

Clayton looks the man to back at that price anyway. Will put a few each way on divingboard too.

    Aspinall at 33's looks good

But yea, Clayton and Cullen the stand-outs for sure

I wouldn't go for Aspinall. He's not in great form and will be under huge pressure as he's defending 100k from winning it in 2019.

    Fair point
Well able to produce on the big stage though

Really looking forward to this now.

    The open draw is fun.
Going to back a few and if the draw goes your way could get a big priced guy going deep.

Wins with a impressive 98 average. [Edit 100 average, record for woman on TV supposedly]

Some week for Beeney though, beating Price last weekend to losing against Ashton on TV

    Lisa Ashton was impressive there

Whose bright idea was it to put these two on the main stage.

Dismal affair to say the least!

Ciaran Teehan just took out 110 to beat Danny Baggish 6-5.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Teehan beats Baggish last leg decider. No idea what Baggish was at going for bull first dart when he was on 70 finish

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

    Barney in trouble, 5-3 down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

    barney gone

Souttar wins it 6-3. A very good performance by the Scot.

Soutar looks like a quality player. Barney will be disappointed though.

    88 average for barney

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Steve Lennon through to Round 4. 6-4 victory over Kevin Doets.

Keane Barry up now on Board 1.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Easy 6-1 win for Keane Barry and he is into round 3. He didn't play particularly well but he didn't have to as Nentjes was pretty awful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,563 ✭✭✭✭peteeeed

6-1 win for barry, easy peasy

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Big game now for William O'Connor. Teehan also on now

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Not much of a break for Keane Barry, he is on now also against Luke Woodhouse.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

    Willie missing too many doubles.

    Barry is currently 3-1 down.

    Teehan just lost 6-1.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,234 ✭✭✭VillaMad

Barry out and O'Connor on the verge also.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,294 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Two poor performances from Barry, 82 and 86 average. Didn't really deserve to go any further.

Lisa Ashton out 6-2 with an 81 average, a full 19 points lower than the previous round.

Willie out now too, lost 6-3.

Only Steve Lennon through to R4, not a great day.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

I noticed it with Barry in World Championship but he seems to throw too fast (Could be nerves playing on TV) and his darts just seem to hang off the board.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,761 ✭✭✭Dillonb3

Few decent games later to look forward to:

    Anderson vs Van Duijvenbode

    King vs Jose

    Aspinall vs Ratajski

    Wright vs Chisnall

    Soutar vs Bunting

Lennon and Dolan both have winnable games against Meulenkamp and Kai Fan Leung

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭US2

Diving board to beat Anderson and De Susan to beat king tasty double
