I think adults drinking milk is a particularly Irish perversion. But then our dairy produce is top class so why wouldnt we?

Best thing in a chipper is a snack box and a pint of milk.

A few of us in work used to occasionally go for a lunch in a really good sit down chipper and get a chicken burger, chips and a pint of milk to wash it down.

    Massive

Milk with dinner, peasants where’s the wine?
Only joking. Jees there’s nothing wrong with milk or water or nothing at all with dinner, it’s not weird. For safety though, I’d say everyone should have a glass of something to drink when eating.

Theres something wrong with people that need their water to be fizzy.

    What about fizzy milk?

Know a good few who do down the country. I don't drink anything with dinner really sometimes a glass of wine. Used to drink water with it when young.

That goes without saying. Mustard, brown sauce, or parsley sauce as well.

After moving to Europe I realized that it is common to drink milk with meal. It is weird to me and I've never done.

I love sparkling water though. It's healthier than soda and not as boring as ordinary water.

I’d rather drink stale milk than sparkling water
I’d rather drink stale piss than sparkling water.

I'd rather drink sulfuric acid, eat my own faeces, then cut out my tongue with a blunt breadknife.....than drink sparkling water.
    Is that hyperbolic enough?

Milk with dinner of course. Mash up the spuds, pour on a bit of milk - great stuff.

Fizzy water is manky ****e. Leave that to the Europeans.

A lot of simple folk like me and my children and their children’s children like to eat our potatoes with milk continuing the tradition of our parents and their parents and their parents parents.

I’ve heard it said that when the Irish arrived in America during the famine the Americans are astonished at how healthy the Irish lads looked and gone teeth on them.

This is a direct result of eating the spuds with milk

Plenty of vitamin D and vitamin C in the spuds and the fat in the milk help the body absorb these vitamins

They reckon the spud has more vitamin C than an orange

They reckon the body can get more vitamin D from a spud equal to 2 hours out in the sunshine

Those of a certain vintage will fondly remember The Manhattan lounge just at the beginning of Rathmines.

It was the place to go at 4am and 5am after a night in leeson street.

A fry up with a pint of milk was the menu.

Dirt. And there's absolutely no need for it, youre not going to get fat due to drinking whole milk.
I have a pint of milk every morning with my breakfast and I am a fat ****er.

It's a bogger thing. The OH has a glass of milk with the dinner as Dad did. I have Cabernet Sauvignon. I am cultured of course being a Dub lol.

Classic Dub feeling cultured by drinking a cheap manky grape juice. :p

Château Lafite or Vintage Fonseca for the win.. Go big or go home.

Ice cold pint of milk is the only job for the dinner though
