Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Well according to our poll at the minute, Roderic is the front runner (16) with Leo (7) a distant second, Aengus (5) and and Paul Donnelly joint third (5). It'll be interesting to see how true this turns out to be.

    I didn't vote. Not a single candidate was proposing a reduction in taxes and a trimming of the public service. All of them were just minor variants of I'll spend your money to improve your area.

    I don't demand better services. Near me, they spent I don't know how much ripping up perfectly good concrete footpaths and replacing them with pavers. I'd rather have the concrete and a few more euros in my pocket, thanks. I'd also rather not have my taxes spent on subsidising wealthy people so they can buy EV's, engage in a solar panel tech hobby, and feel virtuous for it.

    3 out of 4 isn't bad, pity we were wrong about JC missing out. Definitely would have liked to see O Maolain getting in, but I don't think it was ever a possibility.

    I wonder if those 24 people even knew who they were voting for? I can't say I saw any posters or leaflets for him, so I haven't a clue if he even had any policies or whether he was just running for the laugh.
