Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I'm inclined to go along with the line that there's more to be got out of him by leaving him in place and making him sort out the mess than just firing him.

    (and it sounds like they wouldn't even do that, they'd just buy out his contract so he wouldn't be out of pocket).

    Crack the whip and make him earn his final 12 weeks pay.

    Because he will be gone in a few months anyway? Looking for someone's head after they announced in January they are leaving in August is typical SF bull****. The whole public service will be on summer holidays soon anyway so it's not like anyone new will be appointed before September.
