Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Best place to buy board games in central Dublin?

We're visiting Dublin tomorrow, and amongst other things we want to buy a good board game for Christmas. We've got Ticket to Ride, Scotland Yard, Axis and Allies, and want something else. Elsewhere people have suggested Carcassonne, Modern Art, and Tigris and Euphrates, so we might get one of those (we want something that requires a bit of thinking and strategy). Or can anyone recommend something else?

Where's a good place in central Dublin for board games (or at least an easy walk from a Luas stop)? Is Gamers World near Jervis the best place?

Gamers World would be your best bet.

Hodges Figgis on Dawson Street and Easons on O'Connell Street also have a very small selection of popular boardgames (Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Forbidden Island etc) around this time of year.

If you have time to kill there's some pubs around the city that have board games available to play.

+1 for Gamers World, they have a lot of stuff to chose from
