Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Certainly fits in with previous bookings. If they are announced they are a headliner similar to Air/orbital.

Any theories on what non dance act could head the other day?

Shame they're not nearly as good as either of those 2 acts. Orbital are one of the seminal electronic groups really, GA are cloggers in comparison.

It's not set in stone, I just think because of bands touring I reckon it will be either Groove armada or basement jaxx to head.

Remember in 2016 or 17 Mark ronson dj set was the headline.

While I would love Strokes they are far too big budget wise and also have some sort of deal where they play over two days with both of juilians bands, the voids and the Strokes.

I don't think Beatyard would do a double helping of Julian casablancas

I'm thinking more like Tom Jones or Robyn.

I'd take the specials, chakha Khan, gogo penguin and groove armada

Would love to see Cut Copy or Jurassic 5 on the line-up,

Maybe Echo & The Bunnymen as well but not sure if they fit the style of musicians they typically booked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,207 ✭✭✭maximoose

    Marc Rebillet!

    Ragin this clashes with ATN

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,050 ✭✭✭Ricosruffneck

Still around 20 more music acts at least left to announce. So happy with this

Not to mention the talks, comedy etc etc.

Marc Rebillet is supposed to be very funny.

Decent first announcement in fairness. GA and Churches should be good. Marc Ribellet should be decent craic too. Hopefully some more decent Irish bands will feature. Saw Jungle at Longitude and thought it was a bit backgroundy but I'll give em another shot for sure.

+1. Could we petition a move to a weekend before or after?

I suppose by rights Beatyard was there first so it would be All Together Now that ought to have been a bit more considerate!

There's merries and I think imaginosity and then coding/build your own robot kinds stuff for older kids but I'm not sure if you need to book them.

    And the sale ends,

I'm hoping for a next wave of announcements from them this week to get ahead of festival Republics newly announced festival.

They'll want to shift tickets at their full price.

    Quite happy about this addition.

Never heard of them but perfect for a sunny day with a cold one.

    So far looking forward to

Groove Armada, Grandmaster Flash (never listened but curious), Chvrches, Marc Rebillet, Jungle, The Congos and DJ Yoda (hopefully does his AV show)

7/10 so far is a good result for the ticket price.

have been listening to them, really enjoying it.

Hope they still have the female vocalist with the band, seems to add a lot to it.

This years Beatyard just wasn't catching my interest and was going to give it a miss.
    Not enough Reggae.
    Then they added "The Congos"!
Im glad they are keeping the Reggae vibe going as I feel this adds alot to the cool vibes of Beatyard!
It's rare in Dublin to see old Reggae groups.
So I'll go on the Sunday...
