Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Yoda:
The old Jedi is still strong with the force despite his 900 years. He can see a person's true identity using the force. His mastery of the Jedi mind trick is to be feared.

Thoughts on this bit from the op folks? Possibly that yoda can’t be peeked maybe? (“These are not the droids etc...”)

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 2,714 ✭✭✭Vernon WW

Afternoon all, so quick read seems we have no autopriest, and the rebels are the anti-villagers ( Wolves) and we have a load of Star Trek infiltrators.

Am I right in thinking there is no priest in the op?

    This would make sense.

Have you never said that you were sorry someone had died? It's a turn of speech. You're talking like a scummy terrorist robot who doesn't understand human speech here Senan.

My first thought was this is a wolfy ish post against a. Poster who only has a handful of posts: OMG is at its finest. Then I looked at their posts and this sticks out as really wolfy
    Senan WW wrote: »
Could Phil have been Luke? Its certainly what I thought when I read that post, obviously the wolves thought the same thing

So, one wolf between the two of you maybe? Something to keep track if over the next while

Just reading the OP again, some thoughts

    Boba Fett:
Vader has hired the most feared bounty hunter in the Galaxy to aid the Empire. Once a day, Fett can fire his rocket backpack.

So Boba is our vig, I wonder can he store up his shots? I'd be against him shooting today, its never really a good idea.

Theres no mention of any comps in the OP

Correct, which is a bit strange. A few possibilities

First kill is a throwaway and auto priest will kick in subsequently (unlikely)
There are roles not in the op (more likely)
    Mods made a mistake (unlikely)
    Something else

Probably a case of wait and see tbh

Correct, initial thoughts from the village appears to be that the Trekkies are the real threat...:pac:

It would be a bit unfair if we had no priest mechanic at all whether it be autopriest or a roled priest as otherwise how are we suppose to get any info to work from.

Is this what it is like at sci-fi conventions - riots between the SW & ST fans :D

Pretty doubtful this would be part of the game for exactly the reason you outlined. I think we just wait and see on this one

So reading the OP, are the 2 robots actual wolves or just some kind of minions?
Minion You are a villager with no speical roles but you are able to work with the werewolves to kill the villagers.
2D2: Will aid his Rebel masters in their ill fated goals.

C3PO: Will aid his Rebel masters in their ill fated goals.

Sounds to me like they are just non rolled wolves.

Either way they're still evil. Though if they are minions then we don't need to worry about them for parity reasons

Though the fact they are listed under the wolf team makes me think just vanilla wolves.

Possibly, would give us 6 wolves, 11 villagers and Luke

Even if they don’t count for parity it would be irrelevant since at that point wolves would control the vote (so basically they’d have won)

Best just assume they’re vanilla wolves tbh

That’s actually a pretty scary number of wolves. Looking at that I can’t see how there couldn’t be additional village roles for balance, especially when the wolves appear to have a seer and Bg in their team

Any thoughts on this little gem in the OP
    The Admirals of the Empire.
As the second Death Star nears completion, the Admirals of the Empire will be waiting for the ignition codes with which to activate its laser. If they survive the Rebellion & vader to day 4, one of them will need to fire once to avoid catastophe.

I've not done numbers but that seems very high.

Very. Sure with munch and mislynches there'd be none of us left too quickly.

    Anyways who's your daddy

Yeah, it sounds like a bit of a double edged sword. I’d assumed fire means a kill but catastrophe implies a bad outcome if they don’t use it, so something potentially useful to the village that could go very wrong

Not sure why you think my post is wolfy, I'm trying to figure out the game, I'd have thought that was obvious from my posts.

Somebody else brought up that if they wolves thought he was Luke they'd have tried to convert him, which I agreed with

No need to do numbers it's in the OP,

    4 roled rebels
    2 Robots
    1 Luke
    11 rest of us

Wolfy cause you dropped the Phil as Luke line out of nowhere when it doesn’t seem to make sense and would confuse or distract the village. Not saying It’s conclusive, just one of the little things to be noted over the course of a game, sometimes wolves interact in a way that just looks off compared to village

So is that a definite position or are you going to continue to read the thread with a possibility of being swayed?

I’m asking because I’d like to understand your reason for a no vote decision this early in the day

Ah well spotted. Presumably there’s some sort of sub game or possibly a need to find someone/ something. Not sure how the rest of us can help though. It might be a case that if there’s nothing certain with a day or so to go one of the admirals would need to consider revealing themselves if the village can possibly help

  • Forum Games Player Posts: 3,202 ✭✭✭Jake WW

    Mary WW wrote: »

Yep, hence why I think there’s more roles out there. A priest at a minimum but if that’s not been revealed then there may be a few more

If I was to vote, it'd be you I'd be voting for.

The OP doesn't state how many admirals there are so there could be more RV's for the village to depend on. I assume it's left ambiguous on purpose so that no one knows what they're facing. The only definite thing we can say at the moment is that there are 4 known RV's, 6 wolves and Luke. We reeeeeeeeeally need Luke to choose the village side to keep this balance.

    Fair point

On Luke you’re assuming he has a full free choice. I’m reading it that he has to be found also so it may be more complex than he just picks

Do we point out if we think we see a task on thread? (I'm not saying I've seen anything, I'm just wondering if it's better to stay schtum if we see Luke signalling to Vadar so that Leia can't pounce?

I'd agree with this, I suspect that the first seer to find him will convert him to their cause, it's the only way I can see that would give both teams the same chance of finding him.

Call out all odd behaviour imo.

Wolves have at a min 4 and at max 6 pairs of eyes on the thread (depending whether they are vanilla wolves or just minions)

You can be damn sure they'll be communicating anything they see in their backroom
