Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Washing machine won't spin.

    Have Beko washing machine but the drum won't go around so can't wash. Any advice???

    How old is the appliance? How many washes a week?

    Did you check the filter?

    About 4 years old and about 12 washes/week. Where is the filter?

    Bottom right hand side there is a flap. Filter behind that. If its clean, check brushes on motor. Book a local service engineer to fix it. Should cost around 90euro, maybe cheaper

    Thanks a mill for advice. Took off the cover on bottom of machine. Is the filter behind the twisty dial caus there is a pipe behind it. Think it does need to be cleaned caus nasty smell. Can't remove the dial

    That pipe that you can see beside the dial is to drain the filter. Get a shallow basin or a plastic bowl and hold it beside the flap, gently pull out that pipe and hold the end of it in the basin, then remove the plug. When the water has drained, replace the plug, shove the pipe back in and then see if you can take out the dial, you may have to apply pressure inwards for it to budge.

    The filter is usually attached to that dial so it will come out when you unscrew it, you will need to remove all the debris (fluff, buttons etc.) and give it a good rinse under a tap. Put your hand in to remove any other stuff in the filter cylinder. You may need to give the machine an empty run on a short cycle afterwards.

    If the drum won't turn then the bearing could be gone which wouldn't be a major surprise for a budget brand after 2,500 cycles.

    If the drum wont turn the brushes are probably gone. Forget the bearing advice. If it was the bearings and the drum wasnt turning it would be because the belt has fallen off. If the belt is around the pulley, the drum is ok. If it was the bearings, it would be making a sound like an airplane taking off when it was spinning
