    something funny.

I watched it like a year ago and totally forgot his name. It was hilarious. The guy was some sort of celebrity like a poet or a writer or something like that. Unfortunately I don't remember any of the puns, but it was basically about changing just a sound or a letter of a series of idioms to make them sound outrageous.

    I think he was American.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

    Thanks in advance!

PS: I seem to remember that the theme of the monologue was something to do with teaching, but I am unsure, I might be making this up in my memory.

Good one. But it's not this one :(

The monologue is basically this guy going on and on switching letters all the time, he doesn't say a single sentence without a pun.

    Sounds like maybe Tim Vine?
He's the king of puns and one liners.
    Couldnt find it though.

He was the first one popped into my head when I read every sentence was a pun.

Neither Stewart Francis nor Tim Vine.

The guy is actually some kind of poet/writer rather than a stand up comedian, I think he's only done stand up comedy the odd time.

I remember I even managed to find the text of the monologue on google at the time, if only I remembered a word of it.

Milton Jones is the king of one liners.

Sounds like something George Carlin might have done.

    I found it!

"The The Impontence of Proofreading" by Taylor Mali.

It is so satisfying after having been looking for it for so long...

Yeah I like it! I am a bit of a grammar nerd so I love things like anagrams, palindromes, spoonerisms etc.. and I am always making portmanteaus in my head.
