Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Probably doesn't deserve a level 1 warning , a mod can edit as forecasts become more certain but as it stands Sunday is looking rather wet with a band of rain moving in from the east and pivoting around a low pressure system with rain for a good part of the day in a line roughly from the south east to the north west, the south west may escape with small amounts. warm to the north of the rain band, up to 21/22 degrees.Gales off the west coast later in the day. just for anyone with outdoor plans, take note.

A relatively tight gradient projected to develop off the west/NW coast later Sunday into early Monday (HIRLAM) Doubt it will pan out exactly like that given the unusual development and track of the low but worth keeping an eye on for this very reason.

Very low tides at the moment, risk of flooding in low coastal areas should be minimal.

While I concur, given that the field on the front of Bray Head where I sometimes walk the dog has yellow grass and cracks in the soil, I can't help but worry about uttering similar sentiments now in case it's construed as rubbing salt into the wounds of the rest of the country. :)

Still raining....27.6 mm so far...August won't be an exceptionally dry month after all!

Apart from one 30 minute blast between 1 and 2am (when the rate peaked at 65mm/hr) it has been constant and light/moderate, not much of a breeze.

    13C and, obviously, rather dull...
