Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pebble dashing leaching

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this,

A house which has been externally insulated and finished with a pebble dash effect externally is now demonstrating what looks like metal oxide(?) staining, basically areas of rust stain. The installer has advised its due to the pebble dashing and wants to chemically clean it off, however, the obvious fear is it'll be back in 6 months - year etc etc.

Has anyone come across this before...will it keep reoccurring? Does anyone know any stone/aggregate experts that I could refer to?

Had something similar to this, it was an algae, reddish colour, looked like rust. Bought a can of moss/algae killer in a garden centre, sprayed on with a knapsack. It said to wash off after a few days but the rain did that job, cleared it no problem, hasn't come back since, done a couple of years ago.

Im familiar with the red algae alright, this is definitely a rust staining I imagine from metal properties within some of the stone.
