Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Need help with site distance triangles and planning

I am debating buying a derelict building on a very small site. The existing building would need to be knocked and I intend to put a mobile home holiday rental on it.

I presume I would need to put in planning for this. So a few questions.

    1. I doubt the site entrance would have the 3x90m site distance triangles needed. Would this be an issue given its been there already? (An adjacent property got planning with distances of 70m & 40m in similar circumstances.)

    2. What would the planning process be for a mobile home holiday let. The old chalet is in tatters and would need to be knocked. Is it a full application given its only a temporary structure or is it the same as a greenfield site?

    Thanks

Has the derelict dwelling been abandoned, and if so for how long?

Yes. Looks like at least 10-15 years ago at a very minimum. Looks like it was a holiday let back then (small chalet type of building)

Then I doubt that the Council would be interested in granting anything and likely you would be buying a pig in a poke.

Fair enough. Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.
