Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did you ever get caught perving?

We all take an ole look every now and then. Or maybe it's just me, I don't know! Anyway this happened to me twice within the last year. It made me realise that this was perhaps inevitable. Each time I've taken a good look since these occasions, I quickly realise how close I am to being caught and quickly stop. There could often be someone looking at you as you're looking.

The thing is if it's going to be a quick glance there's no point in doing it. You'll only drive yourself crazy. You need to take a good proper look or not look at all. Whereas I like to take a good 5 second stare and let a flood of thoughts cross my mind. I guess that's what happens when you give up porn!

Once I was in the gym when on holidays, I got distracted by the beauty of a girl. I suspected she might have noticed me looking. At one point I'd a great view with her standing in front of me talking to her friend. Then suddenly she turned around really fast... too fast for me to turn my head, so I only had time to turn my eyes. So when she turned around were looking to the side with my head facing towards her. I suppose she knew, but she didn't catch me.

Another time I guy caught me looking as I looked back the street to see the girl that just passed me. I was in such a awe that I gave a sneer. Then as I turned back around, some dude at the side of the street caught my eye and winked at me and sort of laughed to himself.

Probably have been caught and I don't really care. Was in the line today in Dunnes and the girl in front of me had such tight yoga pants on (think that's what they're called) that I could basically see her ass.

If women don't want men ogling them they should dress modestly.

Yeah, I was reading a blog post about a female expat in Spain. She was saying that she enjoyed going to a nude beach because of the hunky men and she brought sunglasses so that nobody would see where she was looking.

She then said that she was happy that none of her country men were around to objectify her :P

Ah, men are a little but shamed here. If a man were tight pants, the a woman would stare (it was even shown in Juno),and if a woman wears clothes that highlight breasts, hips, or groin, then of course men will notice it. And I don't believe objectification is real.

But, I wouldn't like a woman overly staring. Its like a lack if control and isn't that attractive. I imagine its the same for a woman if a man is staring.

How convenient. It's their fault. That's you off the hook then.
Just how modestly would a woman have to dress to escape your leering?

Why do people dress the way they dress?
Why do people go to the gym?

Yes: logically extend this idea: why not walk around naked?
No seriously, really: well, why not?
    (weather permitting obviously)

It might be because...there is a widely-held, almost universal belief that seeing naked other people really does turn people on.
In fact, if a woman wishes to attract a man, she dresses in a very predictable way - showing skin, emphasising sexual qualities etc

So, she does acknowledge (and even hope!) that wearing revealing clothes is attractive...
that being so, she can hardly complain when it works!

There is a case for modesty, yes, there really is.

Just think how much modesty we naturally expect in the workplace :-) - from both sexes!

Yeah, if I wear a tight shirt I am sure to show disgust to the woman who stares. Maybe even glare at them angrily.

I have a younger sister who was talking about Chris hemdwirths abs. I found it funny, as girls will be girls.

One of my relatives said that it was objectification and she shouldn't do it. It is wrong.

I had a kind of sadness at that moment.

Don't dangle your tits in front of me and expect me not to look, I just don't have the moral fortitude. It's like asking a junkie to mind your heroin for you, with the best will in the world he just won't be able to stop himself.

My name is bob, sponge bob, and em, I'm a tit addict:D

Funny one this - I was walking down the street in Spain last week. This lovely looking woman passes me by with loads of kids hanging off her. I looked at her and she has half her breasts exposed with frigging glitter on them ! WTF.

    Probably!

More than likely whilst doing a double take.

Saying that though, I've caught folk looking at me too so swings and roundabouts.
    Nothing wrong with window shopping.

    I never look away,
If they catch me looking I say hello or give a nod of approval.

Does watching men toss each other off in the seedier parts of the Phoenix park count as perving?

They’re responsible for the way they dress, you’re responsible for ogling them. It’s not that difficult to understand.

Have I been caught perving? Of course, more times than I’d care to remember. Sometimes we’ll laugh it off, sometimes they don’t. It still doesn’t mean anyone else is responsible for my actions.

If a man walked around with their testicles on show would you look?

My thoughts exactly. This thread never went anywhere good.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
