My office just gave me an AVAYA PCMCIA Wireless card (silver), for our internal wireless network.

The manual seems to suggest that the card has a connector for an optional External Antenna (don't see how you'd plug it in though.. ).

Just wondering if this card could be used in conjunction with an external antenna, to connect to the DublinWan?

Is there a tiny small cover on the side of the bit of the card that sticks out when in a laptop or pc? It is round, around 2mm in diameter, and can be removed with a pin.

    There sure is.
Although I haven't tried removing it with a pin...

I take it from your question, this might mean success?

A small screwdriver would remove it either. If the cover is there, then there should be a connector for you to plug a pigtail into, which is then attached to the cable that goes to your antenna.
