Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

I installed a maxicosy isofix in my 09 mazda 3 saloon. The mazda 3 model is the older model and not the newer model which came out in 09.

The isofix leg is fully extended. The leg touches but does not press against the floor. I only have a partial green/red mark then for the leg. Any advice on what to do here? When I press my handagainst the carpet on the floor, the carpet moves down. Theres a bit of gap between carpet and floor. Like a fraction of a inch.

Isofix was given by a friend so its not like I can ask in shop where i bought it?

    Thanks
    Alan

Sounds like the isofix just doesn't fit your car. Surprising though cause the legs are pretty long, your car must have very high seats?

Yes not all seats will fit in all cars.
I recommend getting one that fits. There is online guides and lists for what seats fit what cars.

I would not recommend modifying or bodging it. I would not recommend doing nothing as the keg touching the floor is critical part of the safety design.

This is Maxy cosy tool for checking compatibility

EDIT YOU CAN EXTEND THE LEG on most by pressing buttons or clips. Look up exact user manual for you exact model or base. You say you fully extended it, but are you sure?
