Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nice one. Pity the modem/router I was looking at appears to have gone up by almost 20% since yesterday.

    Cheers OP.

Just a word to the wise - full disclosure on the 'sale' history price can be found by copying the amazon url and pasting it into www.camelcamelcamel.com

The 'Keepa' add-on works well on chrome and firefox too, it automatically shows price history graph on all amazon items

Dropping like a stone? It has moved less than 1% in the last week. Normal fluctuation. The roe has been around 88-89p the last six months.

Anyone having problem with PM address on Amazon?
Newtownabbey ParcelMotel address was not accepted today for UK delivery from Amazon

I used AddressPal address and that was accepted

First time I've ever had a problem with PM address.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,462 ✭✭✭projectgtr

I made an order last week using my Parcel Motel with no issues. There was an email going around a few weeks back telling people to check their PM addresses to make sure they were correct , i cant remember if it was from Amazon or Parcel Motel themselves.

Some items can only be delivered within Great Britain ("mainland UK") rather than to Northern Ireland, which might mean you get the "there is a problem with your delivery address" error with PM. List here, search for "mainland":

I have a couple of them, not sure if Amazon video works here as I use 3 party apps and they work just fine. Voice remote works fine for Amazon music and general questions but doesn't work for Spotify.

My 8 year old Bosch Hammer Drill died at the weekend. Just bought this drill for £55. 18v Lithium Ion Hammer Drill with 2 batteries. I know its not a Makita or DeWalt but it'll do me fine for a few years for odd jobs around the house. Reviews look good too.

I've got them delivered before using parcel wizard.
Parcel motel or address pal should work too.
They are great for third party apps.

I've 2 winging their way to me now (limited to x 2 per customer) using parcel wizard.

Great and cheap way to get IPTV .

    IPTV?
So the fire tv is much better than Chromecast?

Each have their own flaws and pros.

Installing apks on a fire stick is dead easy though in comparison with a Chromecast , and the included remote are a godsend.

Is it an airmouse type remote with the firestick?

More akin to the remote included with a Nvidia shield.

Obviously not as highly finished, but works in the same principle (few directional buttons/play/pause etc)

I don't actually own one to test this out, (but I have used one a few times now for a pal) but I don't think you can.

    99% certain.

No you can't. You can get an app that makes a mouse on the screen that is controlled by the arrow buttons which is handy but not as good as an air mouse.

You can buy them on Amazon, price is high at the moment hasn't been a deal on them since December anywhere. IF you're just using it for TV you can save a few euro by buying the version with the game controller and selling the controller on adverts / ebay.

I second this, already own one, fantastic piece of kit.

I believe Amazon are also best value on them online.

As far as firesticks are concerned, for the price of them, they're handy to throw an apk on and away you go with kodi or an IPTV service.

If you have a smart TV is the only reason to go with the likes of the nvidia sheild for the likes of kodi etc? I have access to all the streaming services via my TV already.

Yeah pretty much and you can play games on it too.
If you're just going to use kodi the odd time it's probably an expensive way to do it but the performance would be much better than a firestick and you get the benefit of an ethernet connection if near enough your router.

Edit: if you've an android TV you can get Kodi on that too btw.

I'm getting one for the brother, had mentioned to him he maybe able to get Spotify, as i assumed apps like Netflix, etc are able to d/load, but i suppose Amazon don't want any music rivals on?

That is interesting about that app, where can i get it, thanks.

Have most new tv's now android, as my other brother had to buy a new one on St Stephen's Day when it packed up & only place open was Curry's :p
I take it he wouldn't the firestick to access the apps?

As i have a Samsung Smart BD player that can d/load some apps, but handier now with the firestick on an old Samsung telly (with media player)
