I would hazard a guess at 3500 ft.
    Could a DC-3 make FL350? I didn't think they were even pressurised.
I would assume the captain wrote it after initial climb to allow all the pax to get a chance to read the flight info.

I have a few of these from Viscount flights. Lovely piece of aviation history. I assume it has an advert on the reverse?

I have recently returned from a visit to USA and some of the photo results can be found on Pages 1 to 3 at http://www.flickr.com/photos/shanair/ along with some new Shannon shots. More form US will be added in the weeks ahead.

    Enjoy Malcolm

There are some good pics there which deserve a show in the thread rather than a link to the pics

Edit - for those who have no idea what I am referring to!!

Shame, as a couple of them could be a very good taster to what is included for those who normally do not click an external link

From the "share" option on a given Flickr image choose "Grab the HTML/BBCode", then select the BBcode option at the photo size you want. Cut and paste the text in the box into the message on this board and you should have it.

Shed all 4 Tail rotor blades?!
Knowing that they're most likely gone for crack analysis, I question how long it will be until something else rears it's ugly head. Worst case scenario is that the main rotor blades suffer a similar fate and faults are found in the the blade root.... now that would lead to completely disastrous consequences:(

The Citation in this post in the Aviation Photography thread includes one of the medevac Citation.

I presume patients being transported must be able to walk as that door doesn't look big enough to comfortably admit a stretcher. Anyone know if so?

Tenger posted a recent shot of the Boeing flightline in the photo gallery.

Looking at the 747 in the left foreground, it seems to have a very bulbuous fuselage all the way to the tailplane. Is it some sort of enlarged cargo carrier much like the old Guppy and more recent Beluga, although not as dramatic?

Damn, forgot that that plane was extant! Silly me, cheers for the quick reply.

Agree that the Beluga's a fine - if weird - looking carrier.

Is it a private air ambulance or something?
