Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Did anyone actually sit supervised tests or was that just to put people off if someone else sat their online ones?

    100% certain people sat them.

Both people interviewed in front of me came out and sat back down waiting to be retested so they definitely retested people.

I emailed them yesterday and they said they hope to have them out for the end of October.

The whole year has flown, I blinked and September was over.
And October feels like its an entire year.
I just want to know regardless, so frustrating

Can it just be November already .... I was one of the first interviews ... seems like an age ago!

Checked last years thread and they got the results 26th of October.

From looking at last years thread,

You find out if you pass or fail the interview and subsequently your new OOM by email.

And then an offer will follow over the phone.

Just got an email. Placed in the 80s!

    Hopefully that’s enough for Cork!

  • Registered Users Posts: 48 sybil2000

Results out. Placed in 60's delighted.

  • Registered Users Posts: 123 ✭✭eire1987

Is it safe to assume 25th is enough for cork!? :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 25 Hego25

Placed 150's, first time doing the interview so happy enough to have even passed.
Do they ever get down that far in the panel when it comes to these jobs?

Hi guys, I am really hoping someone could help me out I just really don't understand whats going on at the moment. So I placed number 32 on the panel. Whats the likelihood that I will get offered a position? I don't know whether to be happy or not?!

Without a doubt considering they have numerous locations you will definitely get offered a position. Well done!

  • Registered Users Posts: 21 Daisymoo91

Really?? Im actually still afraid to get my hopes up because I only selected one location?! Thank you so much for your reply I really appreciate it! When do you think we will get a formal offer?

Is the place on the panel for all the locations? And I take it no one has a break down of places per location? Congrats to everyone who got placed.

I emailed revenue back. The position numbers are a nationwide position number not based on local panels.

Will we be notified of our placing by region does anyone know

  • Registered Users Posts: 85 ✭✭barryos1505

Got an email too, placed in the 80's. Happy enough as it was my first time interviewing for civil service and I was honestly surprised to be placed on the panel! My 1st preference is Dublin.

  • Registered Users Posts: 48 sybil2000

Does anyone have a working link for the job description, salary, hols etc. The Info link for the original job seems to be defunct now.

    Here you go :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 86 ✭✭BJG524

IF you have 2 locations down but only want one now - can you refuse the unwanted one if offered it, to wait for the preference or what is thet way to go about it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 242 ✭✭audrey2014

Yes. You can turn down anything you don't want and you may be taken off the panel for that location only. Then they might be ask you for that rejected location again later in the competition

  • Registered Users Posts: 56 ✭✭Dariunmes1

I have no patience ... I just want to know when i will get called 🙈

Isn't that interesting. Do you know how far up the panel they got for Dublin for the Jan intake?

No. Sorry. That's just based on peoples posts. Have a look at last years thread.

Did anyone receive a phone call today then?

I doubt it. They're probably starting to assemble the regional panels. Last year there was no location choice so they called everyone. This year I assume they will just call based on where the positions are.

It varies. Some people are 1 week per month Sep to Mar with exams in April.

Some others are 2 blocks of 3/4 weeks each from Sep to Nov and then same Jan to Mar for 2 years.

If you have an accountancy qualification, there is much less commitment needed.
