you can bring back whatever you like if duty paid in Croatia for "personal use"

In reality they usually view 800 cigarettes or 1KG of rolling tobacco as "personal use"

It's 800 as they are a member of the EU, any more than this any you may be asked to prove they are for personal use.

Theres a lot of debate about this 800 figure and a thread on it over in the legal forum.

Basically Revenue advertise the 800 figure but European guidelines have put it at 3,200. Revenue admitted this 3,200 figure in a hearing at the Dail Public Accounts Committee several years back but they continue to advertise the 800 figure on their website in an effort to trick the public.

I've taken 3,200 home from Estonia before, they were all the exact same brand to prove they were for personal use and a receipt to go with it too. I also printed out the transcripts from the Dail PAC meeting where the Revenue CEO said the figure was 3,200. I didnt get stopped but was well prepared if I did.

That's out of date, Revenue had this on their website when it was valid, it no longer is and has been removed from the Revenue site.
