Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Amazing day and top quality gig, the lights for NIN was incredible, never have seen anything like it.

Went mental during ASIWYFA, was right down the front for them. They definitely left out a song or two that I expected them to play. Otherwise it was great.

Really enjoyed Little Matador, didn't know what to expect as it was only their third gig, but I could've listened to a lot more. Looking forward to hearing some recorded stuff.

Amazing show. Got a mosh pit going. And for the rest was hypnotized by the lights. Watched the shows on youtube but it did not compare to the real life spectacle. One of my favorite shows ever.

    From Trent Reznor on twitter:

"Should be an unusual show tonight at Reading......the lying promoter and the band following us (whoever the **** they are) ****ed us on our production."

From Jim Carroll OTR on twitter:

"FYI Festival Republic/Biffy Clyro RT @trent_reznor: lying promoter & band following us (whoever the **** they are) ****ed us on production"

Jesus thats a shame might not be covered by BBC then either

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,335 ✭✭✭smackbunnybaby

More than likely FR and BC interfered with NIN's light show, which is obviously a big part of their live act!

Haven't heard the BBC say their name yet on coverage, have you ?

Might indicate they aren't showing them!

I don't think the headlining band would have too much say in this. Being the headliners they'll get far more production than a sub-headliner, even if it is integral to their show. Reeks of bitterness/anger!

    From Trent Reznor?!

    Surely not :P

Did they have any problems in Leeds? or is it just reading?

Reading And Leeds Festival boss Melvin Benn has responded to Reznor's tweets, saying "The truth is there's no truth in the statement. The contract hasn't changed since they signed up to it." Asked if Reznor was perhaps feeling a bit sore about playing before a band he hadn't heard of, he said "I couldn't possibly comment."

It was a festival tour is all, dunno what you mean bout not being a festival guy but NIN in Belfast was essentially a stand alone show in an outdoor venue being part of a string of seperate shows organized by the same company at same venue.

Its rumored they're announcing UK dates for April 2014, weather that includes Dublin I wouldn't hold my breath but after the Belfast gig, I'd most likely be lookin to catch them again if it means a Ryanair across d pond I'll do that.

Don't know if any caught Zane Lowe's show on August 19th but he announced a NIN U.K tour for April '14 no specific dates confirmed yet

*I'd also imagine the U.K run would include an Irish show

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 6,755 ✭✭✭A V A

but its all about who would book NIN tho, they havent done a stand alone show in ireland since 94 ,surely they'll have to play here!! i hope mcd or who ever books them!! iv seen them outdoor twice now and wouldnt mind seeing them indoor or a smaller venue!! where would suite them doe ?

Belfast was... eh. The show was great but the crowd was full of dickheads. Paris was LOVELY. Very relaxed and even Trent commented on it during the show.

Oh yeah, April: there was a leaked date for Madrid on April 18th a few months ago, so it's probably legit. Been told a Polish promotor's Facebook is heavily featuring NIN stuff, which is apparently something they do before announcing an act. And, finally, Trent said "See you next year" in Zurich.

Touring the US at the moment, stopped by the Jimmy Kimmel show stage for a few songs. Here's one:

    Funky.
