Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Did it happen recently?

Any idea which relay this is? May call vw and ask them they will surely know if they are to supply it?

I know this thread is a bit old but it is a problem I had on my Mk4 and took several weeks to diagnose through forum surfing. Apparently the other wiper settings work fine but not the intermittent when the bonnet is unlatched, because Volkswagen.

The micro-switch that detects the bonnet being closed may be broken off its housing and hanging free, therefore the switch will be stuck in the open position

You can trick it into thinking the bonnet is closed by cable tying the switch closed or replacing the micro-switch with a flick switch.

I suppose the logic is that you might think the wipers are off when working on the car and get a nasty surprise when they come on?

No idea to be honest. I would agree if only for the fact the full speed wipers still work. Wouldn't take much for your helper to accidentally knock them on. Apparently VAG have done it that way for years, guess it's just one of their little secrets.
