Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi

    Have a touch of afib and a flutter, occurs about once a month. Rate goes to 120, bit knackered. Otherwise fit, run or walk alternate days, 7k.

    Cardiologist says get it sorted with an ablation while you're relatively young, middle aged and when it's not occuring too often. Said I've an 85% chance of success

    Anyone had it done? Words of wisdom?

    Coming a bit late to this OP, but I had an ablation for SVT done about 8 years ago, haven't looked back since, it was a great success for me, completly cured my condition.

    It's all a bit intimidating beforehand, and because my SVT wasn't considered life threatening I had a choice to continue on meds, or even to come off them at the expense of more attacks. I reckoned I was too young to be putting up with that for the rest of my life and went ahead and got it done. I was back on the bike after about 8 days, took it easy for about 3 weeks and then after my final checkup about 8 weeks later rode my forst ever bike race in Mondello at the age of 48, that was a fair test of my heart I can tell you.
