Disc Golf Tournament - 2nd July - Newcastle, Co. Down

    GASP will be hosting our first FG tournament on the 2nd July 2011.

    The competition is open to everyone, families and groups, and there will be individual and team categories for juniors and seniors, as well as a prize purse.

    Not sure if this will be a first tournament for Ireland, so hoping that there may be a lot of interest.

    More details will be posted soon, but please register your interest in the meantime.

    Thats great to hear the course is opened again!

    I had tried to come down last year but someone had destroyed the course. =(

    My boyfriend, (who is trying to teach me to disc) lives in Michigan so i can only play when i'm over staying with him. It's great to have a course here I can bring him to this summer!!

    Tournament course is being prepared now, and will be open prior to the event if anyone would like to visit beforehand. I guess it should be ready around the start of June, possibly sooner, but will post opening times and dates soon.

    yea. i've played 5 or 6 times when i was in michigan. really loved it. i'm shocking bad at it tho, but hey i have fun lol

    think i nearly had as much fun in the shop picking out discs too

    I think I'm gonna be completely out of my depth, all I've ever played is some ultimate!

    Well I don't have lots, I have about 5 or 6

    From memory I have 3 drivers, 2 mid range and a putter

    It's rubbish that there is no where in Belfast to play with them tho

    The tournament course will be open from June 16th for anyone who would like to have a practise round. You can register for the event from the 16th too, and avail of 50% discounted practise round fees.
    Normal round fees are £6 unlimited play.

    Also, the trophies were delivered this week. They look great!

    regret that tournament course will not be open from 16th as planned, will now open the week before the event, from 24th. sorry for any inconvenience.

    play can still take place on our short 6 hole course prior to this date.

    6 hole open saturday, 10 - 5pm, and sunday 12 - 5pm.
