Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey guys im 21 years old male, living in Portlaoise. I live with my partner and we both have a baby - so its a bit tough for me to plan going to college everyday leaving Portlaoise and coming back as there is no colleges what could be easy accessible from my house and I dont have a transport. Just stopped working 2 weeks ago, because I have decided I want to study get some decent enough qualification. Was wondering if there is any online courses that can be done sitting at home and cheap enough.
    Thanks for Help guys :)

Hi. Try and see if there are any fetec leval 5 courses in your area. They are often a first step in returning to college. Some offer subsidised child care also.

Have you looked at springboard courses. Proper level 7 and level 8 courses free of charge! Have a talk to your local welfare office and they'll probably give you extra. Also if worse comes to worst get a small student loan which you won't have to pay back till you finish. Companies are also getting grants off the government to hire people directly from springboard!

If you go onto do a level 5 and then onto college with a grant you will have to do a three or four years to get a level 8.
