Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No. No one I could meet up with.

I think I'd like to reconnect with some people but wouldn't have a clue what to say.

Think I'll leave it. I've got a feeling the venture would crush me, TBH

    This is what I would say;

"Hey, It's been a long time. I thought I'd reach out and see how you are doing :)"

Try and approach it in stages. A first message is just testing the waters. There is no guarantee a friendship will be rekindled. Right now you are only at the very beginning.

If they don't respond then tell yourself that you made an effort and that it takes courage to reach out to people so you should feel proud of yourself.

    Thanks Persepoly.

I think I'll leave it. I'm not feeling too robust at the moment and don't think it would do me good. I wouldn't want to hear from me, why should they?

My sleep pattern has been disrupted though i try to keep active with walking and catching up on reading.

Wearing the sling 24/7 is so annoying but hope it will be worth it.

And not driving is the pits.

Still I am pain free and tended hand and foot so just being a whingy old git.

We only have one operational machine today, so nope, walking and poolside for me. Need to build up my vitamin D.

It’s now 40 days since I last took to the skies, this grey/green testing process is bat **** crazy.

Yep. . So now I have to stay here for at least a month to make it worthwhile.

But at least I can sit by the pool with an ice cold bottle of water :)

In the lobby of our hotel, checking out at 2pm (late check out :) ).

Just waiting for a good old mate from my college days to drop in for a coffee and a catch up. Haven't seen him in 3 years - looking forward!

    OH GAWWWD

Ok a few weeks ago my brother was offered a job in Brussels. While he was deciding i said nothing. This was deliberate as i didn't want to push him either way. But i feel i didn't offer good advice. He has lived abroad before. And BOTH times he hated it. It wasn't the country either time. It was just being away from Ireland. He said he would NEVER live abroad again.

This job is just for two years. Then he comes back. But its just the job he wants not to live in Brussels.

He seemed ok about it at first. But more and more he seemed really unhappy. Like REALLY unhappy. We have all noticed it. He keeps saying ..plllleassse come visit me once a month etc. I am really going to miss you. He seemed really miserable when leaving.

I bought him some champagne. We were supposed to have it yesterday ..he left this morning. But when i went to open it ...he said NO...wait save it for the first night i come back home. Like he is already counting the days.

So i texted him to say ...I will really miss you ...I just wasn't saying it before ..are you really happy? Please promise to say if you are not.

Everyone has noticed he seemed really unhappy in the last few days.

I feel guilty for not reminding him of how he felt before both times when he lived abroad. He got really depressed. But it thought it would be wrong ..so i said absolutely nothing. But in my heart now i know i did the wrong thing.

If he had gone off happy ..i think i would feel less anxious.

I don't think he wanted to go.

Normal doesn't have roots down to its ear or straggly hair that seems to grow out as it grows down!

I got my colour done, a good trim and layers and all finished with a bouncy blowdry. It's a pity I've nowhere to go. :p

I'm like a total waster today. Dropped terrier to the groomer earlier. Had a nice visit with my gran at the nursing home and now I'm slouched in the armchair, half watching New Girl but mostly playing with the L'Oreal style my hair app, trying different colours and wondering if it's time for a change and I should go back to dying my hair? It used to be a lovely strawberry blonde shade of red but then I was bleaching it blonde for years and now I've been back to my natural colour for the last few years but it's not as nice as it was when I was younger and I just think it's a bit dull these days. Maybe I should have some brighter red tones put through it or some blonder tones. But then if we have another lock down I'll have roots to worry about. Is there anyone still reading this boring little piece of thought vomit? Anywho.. what to do what to do.

A semi permanent colour to enhance your colour and any add shine, Buile. It washes out and you can do it yourself.
