Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi what happens when an executor to a will has passed away? Can the family members mentioned in the will apply to become the executors? The will in question is fairly split between the two family members. The will has been witnessed by two independent people who have no interest in the will but it hasn’t notarised by a solicitor.

The next-of-kin can apply for a grant of administration, just as they would if no will had been made, but when appointed they must administer the estate in accordance with the will (and not in accordance with the rules that would prevail if no will had been made).
